Creativity is important because it accesses a part of our brain that doesn’t get a lot of activity when we’re busy reacting and doing things. It is one of the highest forms of self-expression. Something we all may feel like we’re missing at different times in our lives.

f you’ve never smoked fish, this is something you must try this summer. My family loves to fly fish, and any excuse to do that sends us out the door driving to our favorite spot.

We’ve definitely felt the waves from the sun! While I’m taking some beautiful photos in Lakewood for families, my own family is looking for ways to cool off.
One of our favorite ways to beat the heat is to get away into the mountains for fly fishing or camping. When we can’t get up to the hills, we’re home calling back the Georgia summers with a favorite pastime. Peaches. Georgia is known for its peaches and everything you can create with them. As soon as I moved here, I had to experience the buzz around Palisade Peaches.

I had the pleasure of photographing the Dimmick family recently at the beautiful Hildebrand Ranch Park in Littleton, Colorado. I absolutely love summer evening photo sessions!
The sun was bright, then clouds filled the sky, and then the sun peeked through again. We photographed in front of the barn, climbed and sat on some big boulders and then found the trees by the stream.
It was a joy to see the girls running around in the open space and the sweet moments with their grandparents and uncle and of course, mom and dad.
Kids grow quick and the moments can be fleeting as time continues ticking. What’s that saying? “The days are long but the years are short”. Schedule your family photo session today, you won’t regret it! Email me to get on my summer schedule before the busy fall rolls around.
More on the location of our photo session. Hildebrand Ranch boasts a beautiful scenic view of the valley originally homesteaded by Frank and Elizabeth Hildebrand settled in Deer Creek in 1866 on 160 acres. In March 1973 Denver leased 750 acres from Chatfield and 67 for the Denver Botanic Gardens which included the ranch's original buildings and is now owned and operated by Jefferson County Open Space for the public to enjoy. Check the website for the hiking trails around that area. Lots of wildlife and beautiful sunsets in a pretty secluded location. A Jefferson County Open Space photography permit is required to photograph on the property.
Until next time, cheers ~
